While going Green is a current fad to many people, it has been ingrained in Viesso's lives since birth. Sons of a California government employee that specializes in alternative energy resources, Ryan and Travis grew up learning about the importance of taking care of our planet. This background, along with moral factors and their passion for camping and backpacking, makes being Green not a trend but instead a necessary part of doing business.

In today's world, we live with a large dependence on artificial materials. From simulated wood to synthetic plastics, our environment is being bombarded with an array of harmful products. Furthermore, our government is doing a poor job of maintaining levels of our existing natural resources. This inability to live harmoniously with earth results in an unhealthy planet inhabited with unhealthy people.

Thankfully, because of some initiatives put in place over the past decades we do have some options. Using natural materials or recycling artificial ones helps to curb the damage that is being done. Fewer toxins create improved quality of air, ground and sea, and ultimately, improved quality of life. We need to take care of the environment in which we live, and utilizing Green options within the furniture industry can make a difference.
