More Information
The Neo Sectional frame is constructed with a durable steel-reinforced laminated wood frame and has a steel spring suspension system adapted from the automotive industry, which provides maximum support and comfort while occupying minimal space.
The imported European seat and back cushions have been carefully selected for durability, firmness and comfort. Seat cushions are made of CFC-free polyurethane, softened by a continuous Dacron® wrap. Back cushions are baffled for even distribution and to prevent shifting of feathers and batting, thereby providing better lumbar support.
The Neo Sectional’s durability and comfort come from its construction techniques that use exact tolerances. Each sofa is handmade by one of our craftsmen at our factory using premium materials that are carefully sourced from around the world. The removable fabric cover allows for cleaning or replacement.
Neo Sectional is available with a left or right facing chaise configuration. Shown as right facing chaise.
Covers come in a wide selection of specially sourced fabrics and leathers. The fabric covers are removable for cleaning or replacement, where as the leather covers are upholstered on. Selections are shipped as two separate pieces and are bolted together from the underside and must be ordered as a pair. The sectional is available with the chaise on the left or right.

Brand
Manufacturer: Bensen
Place of Origin: Vancouver, Canada
Bensen is a design and manufacturing group that began in 1981 by Niels Bendtsen. Along with his staff, Bendtsen designs and oversees production of an extensive line of furnishings. Our philosophy balances simplicity and honesty so that the designs may continue to grow in today’s ever changing world.
“Quality is a funny concept. We tend to think of it as being associated with handcraft. But quality is also about your attitude to design. Craftsmanship is just as much about how you run the machines that are now necessary for economic viability.”

Designer (ALL): Niels Bendtsen
Born in Denmark, Niels Bendtsen and his family immigrated to Canada in 1951. In place of a formal design education, he trained as an apprentice for his father, who designed and built Scandinavain furniture. Through working with his father, Bendtsen gained valuable skills and a respect for non-industrial, hand-built traditions, but he was also intrigued by new technologies and ways to satisfy incresing demand. Between 1963 and 1972, Bendtsen had his own retail store where he sold his father's furniture, as well as imported Scandinavian designs. He designed small items for the store, but it wasn't until he was in his early thirties that he truly began designing furniture. Dissatisfied with the quality and limited functionality of the furniture he received from his overseas manufacturers, Bendtsen sold his store, moved to Europe and became a full time designer.
In the 1980s, Bendtsen moved back to Vancouver, bought back his old store and added a manufacturing component. Using the skills he learned working with European factories, Bendtsen successfully found a balance between affordability, aesthetics and quality.
