Some simple ways to get a sense of how Viesso’s custom furniture will work in your space

Take full advantage of Viesso’s customization

One of the numerous benefits of using Viesso is that our pieces are extremely customizable. Whether its bedroom furniture, living room furniture, or dining furniture, we can build any of our models in whatever sizing and configuration you need to work for your particular needs. But before you can accurately select the pieces you want us to build, you should take a detailed look at your space. Here is the best way to go about doing that.

Functionality

Here are just a few questions to ask yourself:

1. Placement - Is the furniture against a wall, or free floating in the middle of your space?
- Where is the TV, fireplace or window view, or is there another focal point in the room?
- Do I want to section off the room, or keep it as open as possible?

2. Configuration - Do I want a one armed sofa plus a chaise to create a fixed setup, or a two armed sofa plus an ottoman to increase the flexibility of your configuration? Maybe chairs are a better solution?
- Do I want a corner “L” sectional, or a standard sofa plus some chairs?
- Is this space used primarily for movie watching, talking, listening to music, lounging or other activities?
- Will I be moving soon or should I be specific to my current dwelling?

3. Use
- Do I want to use this as my main piece, or more supplementary to existing pieces
- Is it going to be used for lounging or more conversational, formal or casual

These questions that address significant issues about your environment are essential. Depending on your space and the needs that come with it, your placement and configuration can vary greatly.

Size

Here are two easy steps to determine the appropriate size for your space:

1. We suggest determining what the maximum space you have to work with is, given the constraints of your space as well as the existing pieces of furniture. The best way to work through this is to take some blue painters tape (to prevent harming the floor) or masking tape, and place it on the floor in the shape of the basic outline of the piece you are creating.

2. Consider how many people you would like to accommodate with your furniture, be it for seating or dining.
